America's Global Village
The Ontario area is known as the Treasure Valley due to its rich diversity of cultures: Native American, Japanese, Mexican, Basque, and other European cultures. America's Global Village is a multi-cultural event sponsored by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce on the first Saturday of June.
Our club has participated with a Basque Village since the inception of the festival in 2000. We offer Basque chorizo sandwiches, chorizo and sheep cheese pintxos, paella and petit choux. Like all the villages, we provide an activity for children and our Beti Alai dancers perform. We also set up cultural displays to help acquaint our neighbors with our unique heritage.
